In October 2023 I was offered a bigger space for my business, so with the amazing help from my husband and kids our summer 2023/24 was spent renovating. As they say change is as good as a holiday, and after three weeks of dust, design plans, and a few too many bakery lunches, our interior design studio has had a makeover! It’s taken me a while to fully get set up but with the way the 2024 economy was, there was no point in rushing into everything. But now in 2025 we’re thrilled to finally pull back the (newly installed) curtains and show you what’s been happening behind the scenes.
My goal was simple: update the studio’s aesthetics and improve its functionality, so out with the bold colourful walls, blue carpet and cream walls. In with a fresh coat of warm white paint, new carpet in the workroom, a grooved feature wall and polished concrete in the studio space. As a creative space where ideas come to life, we wanted the studio to feel inspiring and practical, not just for us but for every client who walks through the door. We envisioned a place where design dreams could flourish, with dedicated spaces to explore, create, and shop.
Spaces with purpose: One of the biggest changes was the amount of space we had. The design consult space has more storage space for more samples for your home, whether this is exterior or interior. There is a wall for moodboards & recent projects.
We have a bigger & better Curtain & Blind Consult Space. There are loads of fabric samples, blind fabric samples & track samples to view. We have a display wall so you can see the different pleat heading styles. Here, clients can meet with our design team, browse options, and bring their window treatment visions to life.
Beyond the consultation space, we’ve also doubled the size of our Curtain-Making Workroom. It’s where the magic (and a lot of careful stitching) happens. This dedicated space means we can bring custom designs to life with precision and passion, right here on-site and local to the Waikato.
And we couldn’t forget the shoppers! Opening in October 2024 Our new Homeware + Decor Store is brimming with beautiful finds. Whether you’re hunting for the perfect vase, a statement cushion, artwork or a little something to refresh your space, our curated collection offers a bit of everything for everyone.
While every renovation has its hiccups, ours went as smoothly as we could have hoped. A lot of hard work from my Husband & a few changes of plans from me. It’s amazing what can happen in just three weeks. We couldn’t be prouder of the transformation and can’t wait to welcome you into our refreshed space.
